Now that you have seen what the Feats/Stats are, you need to know how to progress in them. After each completed topic ( which you should label as [Completed] ) a mod or admin will grade the topic and award experience points to all participants. Those EXP points may then be spent on higher levels of each feat, essentially causing direct growth in a specific field/aspect of that character. Each level of each feat gets more expensive as representation of the increased difficulty that is applied to higher growth. Ranks are in no means set at standard differences in power. In fact, the difference between rank 7 and rank 8 is tremendously greater than that of rank 1 and rank 2. The Exp costs for each feat/stat ranks are listed here:

Rank 1: All stats start at this level, it indicates a level slightly above normal human proficiency.
Rank 2: 50 exp points. This level represents a comprehension of basic understanding of whatever principles the stat possesses.
Rank 3: 150 exp points. The next stage of progression, standard level of an unseated shinigami.
Rank 4: 300 exp points.
Rank 5: 500 exp points.
Rank 6: 750 exp points. This level of experience is equal to that which is exhibited by a typical 10th or 9th seat shinigami in the designated feat.
Rank 7: 1050 exp. This level of experience is equal to that which is exhibited by a typical 8th or 7th seat shinigami in the designated feat.
Rank 8: 1400 exp. This level of experience is equal to that which is exhibited by a typical 6th -5th seat shinigami in the designated feat.
Rank 9: 1800 exp. This level of experience is equal to that which is exhibited by a typical 4th seat shinigami in the designated feat.
Rank 10: 2250 exp. This level of experience is equal to that which is exhibited by a typical 3rd seat shinigami in the designated feat.
Rank 11: 2750 exp.
Rank 12: 3300 exp. This level of experience is equal to that which is exhibited by a typical vice-captain in the designated feat.
Rank 13: 3900 exp.
Rank 14: 4550 exp. This level of experience is equal to that which is exhibited by a typical captain in the designated feat.
Rank 15: 5250 exp. This level marks the maximum level that can be achieved by beings in fields they are not specialized in. It is an enormous stage of power.
Rank 16: 6000 exp.
Rank 17: 6800 exp.
Rank 18: 7650 exp. This level marks the maximum level that one may specialize in. A typical captain commander has at least 2 feats at this rank.
Rank 19: 8550 exp.
Rank 20: 9500 exp. This level marks the maximum level that one may achieve a mastery in. It is seen as the most powerful form of any aspect that any being could ever hope to achieve.

* It may seem at first that the amount of EXP required to progress your character will be phenominally great, and that is true. However Exp is granted in a multitude of ways, from common topics, to events, to special positions and achieved through rping. If you are active, consistent with your RPing and contribute to the site, EXP may be granted in any number of ways.

The next important thing to know about the Feat System and how one progresses in it is is character specializations and masteries. At the point of character creation, one designates 2 specialty feats and 1 mastery feat. Each of the specialty feats are able to be trained to rank 18 rather than the normal cap of rank 15, and the mastery is able to be trained to rank 20. Be careful and think hard about this, for declaring specialties and masteries often decide how your character will develop in the end.
